Harmonicoots Sun City Jamboree May 12 - 2009 : The Harmonicoots’ 5th annual Jamboree, performed on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, in the Sun City Roseville ballroom was a smash hit. Headliners included Tom Stryker, Winslow Yerxa, and Tom Whinnery. Stryker is President of SPAH, the international harmonica organization, which stands for the Society for the Preservation and Advancement of Harmonica. He has performed all over the world, from China to Hawaii to Frankfurt and from Miami to London. Winslow Yerxa, author of Harmonica for Dummies and one of the best Celtic harmonica players in America, dazzled the audience with his harmonica magic. Tom Whinnery, who accompanied Tom Stryker and the Harmonicoots’ band on keyboard, was brilliant. The Harmonicoots will host the 2009 SPAH Convention in Sacramento, CA, at the Radisson Hotel on Aug. 11-15, 2009. SPAH’s website: www.SPAH.org.
