Sunset Photo Session at "The Sign" 7-12-2009 : Although it might appear that these are models in front of a studio backdrop, this was actually the sunset we had one Saturday night at our favorite camping / windsurfing spot in the Sacramento Delta. In processing I almost toned down the dramatic effects of this sunset because it's almost too much, but in the end I kept it as the camera sees it... These were all taken with my 12-24 and one SB800 hand held off camera with no diffuser. This was one time I wish I had all my lights and umbrellas as I am confident I could have gotten so much more out of this special sunset session but we must all make do with what we have.

Baum Family Portrait 7-19-2009 : OK, we all know I am too cheep to hire a "Real" photographer so I did it myself (on timer of corse) As we all get on in life we will wish we took more photos of the ones we love, this is why I made a point of shooting my family while I had the chance. I did this shoot at Mr. Baum's hotel in Rancho Cordova CA with one Ailen Bee 800 & a shoot through 43" umbrella and one SB800 on the floor lighting up the wall. I give credit to my kids as we managed to get off a few good shots before they went belistic and also to my wife Melissa who was tired of telling my kids what to do (and putting up with me). The only one that had a really great time and did what I wanted was Marty.... he had a great time... We love him... (cool shades too Dad...)
